Dr. Li's BioTrue Probiotics — A Successful Case of Purifying Garbage Wastewater in Binh Chanh District, Vietnam

As an economic center, Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam generates around 6,000 tons of waste daily, most of which is untreated and disposed of in landfills, leading to severe wastewater issues around landfill sites. The local Da Phuoc and Phuoc Hiep landfills handle massive amounts of waste daily, and the resulting wastewater poses a significant challenge for water quality management in the area.

In 2009, Andy Ho, head of Taiwan Dee Harn Headquarters, led a technical team to Ho Chi Minh City for an on-site inspection of the local landfill wastewater treatment facility, where they found a COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) level of 63,500ppm. This high COD indicated an extremely high organic content in the wastewater, causing significant environmental pollution. After Dr. Li thoroughly examined the local wastewater treatment system, he decided to introduce his proprietary BioProbiotics and to comprehensively upgrade the treatment process.

First, Dr. Li’s team replaced the plant's original PAC coagulant with food-grade PPC flocculants to enhance the wastewater treatment effect. The team also added 200ppm of beneficial bacteria to the anaerobic tanks in the system and monitored the water quality changes over 28 days. Remarkably, within just 14 days of introducing the BioProbiotics, the COD level plummeted from 63,500ppm to 5,180ppm. By the third treatment cycle, the COD level had dropped further to 1,100ppm, demonstrating the probiotics' powerful impact in reducing ammonia, nitrogen, and other harmful substances, significantly improving water quality.

This technological upgrade not only thoroughly enhanced the garbage wastewater treatment capacity but also led to a ten-year partnership agreement with the Binh Chanh District landfill wastewater treatment facility. Thanks to Dee Harn Headquarters' meticulously planned purification process, the facility has maintained a COD level below 200ppm, with continuous adjustments tailored to wastewater characteristics to ensure the system’s optimal performance.

This success story highlights the global significance of Dr. Li's probiotic technology in environmental protection and provides an innovative and effective solution for garbage wastewater treatment in Vietnam and other regions worldwide.
